Rice Krispie Marshmallow Treats

You will need:

60g butter or margarine
250g marshmallows (1 and a half bags)
Rice Krispies
100g White Chocolate
100g Milk Chocolate
Square Baking Tray
Wooden Spoon
Large mixing bowl
2 smaller bowls
2 tea spoons

Method

Pour rice krispies into a baking tray until it is full, (this is to gage the amount of Rice Krispies that you'll need) and then pour into a large mixing bowl.

Melt 60g of butter in a pan on low heat

Once it has melted, add marshmallows a few handfuls at a time. Make sure you keep stirring as you go so the marshmallows don't get burnt or stuck to the bottom of the pan

When all of the marshmallows have been added, keep stirring until there are no lumps or bumps of marshmallow. You want a really smooth and creamy consistency.

Add the melted butter and marshmallow mixture to the bowl of rice krispies and stir until all of the rice krispies are covered.

Spoon the mixture into the baking tray and spread evenly

Leave in the fridge for 1-2 hours, until the mixture is cold and not too sticky!

Cut evenly into squares and remove from baking tray.

Melt the white and milk chocolate in separate bowls

Dip the half Rice Krispie treats into the milk chocolate so only half of it is covered, and do the same with the other treats, but in the white chocolate

Drizzle white chocolate on the milk chocolate, and milk on the white, and leave to set.

I hope you liked this simple and easy recipe, it doesn't take long and tastes amazing!
